A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user's computer by the user's web browser while the user is browsing. Whenever user’s browser accesses a site from our server, the message is sent back to the user's computer. With Javascript and server logs, we can collect information on how and when our services are used: for example, from what page the user has moved to the service, when and what the user of our web site has been browsing, whose advertiser notifications the user has seen on our site and clicked on what browser the user is using, what is user screen resolution, device operating system and version, and IP address.
Cookies are used to speed up, analyze and develop our site and services by storing user information and targeting the site to the user. We work with advertisers to get the most out of advertising to the user. Cookies allow us to show ads, for example, based on the pages the user visited earlier. We help our advertisers to target their ads to users who have, for example, visited our advertiser's website.
We use two types of cookies: First-party cookies (created by a website that a user views directly) and third-party cookies (cookies created by other sites).
First-party cookies enable the site functionality. They also include web analytics cookies that provide information on how visitors use the site to develop web services.
By third-party cookies we mean cookies placed by third parties, such as our ad network. These so called third parties may place their cookies on the user’s browser when the user visits our services, for example, in order to offer targeted digital advertisements to the user, or to compile statistics about the number of visitors on different sites.
In addition, our services may contain social plugins to share website content on social media. These sites may place their own cookies in accordance with their privacy terms. See, for example, the following documents on processing of personal data:
Facebook Data Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation)
Twitter Privacy Policy (https://twitter.com/en/privacy)
Google Privacy Policy (https://business.safety.google/privacy)
